The garden of the abbey of Valsaintes is an atypical place located in the heart of Haute Provence. The remarkable garden offers visitors a different face over the seasons. A rose garden, a dry garden but also a permaculture vegetable garden are to be discovered along the terraces. Nature – History – Spirituality brought together in the same place, narrated and explained by “house guides”. Indeed these guides are among the few enthusiasts who, a few years ago, “left everything” so that the 4th Cistercian abbey in Provence could regain its place alongside its sisters and so that a “natural garden” could be born from its wastelands. Guided tours are regularly scheduled during the opening hours of the garden, as well as occasionally during day of activities or during L’Abbaye en Roses.
